Sori is not the next Lee Hyori

I find it hilarious that people dubbed Sori as the next Lee Hyori because from what I see there’s nothing that stands out about her except…yeah nothing really. Maybe I’m just being defensive cause Hyori is the Queen and if anyone were to hold a candle to Hyori it would be Son Dambi. yeah you’d have to wait till all the current girl groups disband and go solo and “sex it up” then you’d have your next queen. sori is pretty and sexy, but not yet in hyori’s league. but we’ll see in a few years.

Uhm, no. She has nothing on Hyori. She can’t even with Son Dambi, and I don’t care for her. This girl doesn’t seem to have any presence, or maybe it’s just the teaser?

Hyori has already made a place for herself in kpop history so no one is gonna replace her! I do like this new girl though, but she lacks the charisma that Hyori oozes!

She looks like a Korean version of Ueto Aya(she was recently in a CF with Dong Bang Shi ki) to me. Nothing like Lee Hyori. Hyori is sexy this girl looks well like a girl. Cute not Sexy.
There’s too much competition this year with all those girl groups….if she hasn’t improved from her lackluster performances last year, she won’t stand a chance!
She’ll never be a Hyori. I can’t exactly describe what makes Hyori, Hyori ~ but she’s just awesome and loved!
Sori is a good dancer, but I don’t think she’s that strong as a solo popstar. This whole disco-theme reminds me of Uhm Jung Hwa. Sori would never be an Uhm Jung Hwa either.

i agree! hyori is hyori and no one comes close to matching her kind of success! she may not be the best of the best, but she’s got that superstar quality and she’s hilariously funny and cute. she’s only 30 and still at the top!
i like sori, but she shouldn’t be compared to an icon like lee hyori.
Dambi is no comparison either in my opinion…..still a fan though!

Can’t she be appreciated for what she does, even if it’s not at the same “level” as Hyori? There’s nothing wrong with variety or liking more then one person.

I don’t think Hyori is as great as everybody think she is, but she is still at the top of the sexy queen category. And Son Dambi is way overrated, I don’t even know why she is so popular, she isn’t a great singer and her personality is boring as hell.
I don’t see the next Hyori thing either. I think people are just saying that because she’s beautiful or something. It’s not like her debut was even that strong so this feels kind of random lol
Not to be rude or anything but Hyori’s singing talent and dance skills are a dime a dozen but what truly makes her a success is her golden personality.

Hyroi is old and tired. Don’t get me wrong, she was great back in the day with Finkl, but really, the girl needs to give it up already (along with that chaeyeon girl – I can almost hear the bones creak on their frames when they do dances)
That being said, I also agree with the general sentiment that this girl is not going to be a replacement. She’s quite pretty and has all the physical skills, but her personality is rather lacking, and it shows.

Hyori is far from old! She’s just gotten older, but girl can perform her ass off! She may not dance the way she used to(she totally rocked it back then) but she’s still one of the most charismatic and mesmerizing artists on stage! Plus, she’s super funny and dorky and that’s why she’s one of Korea’s most beloved stars!

i think she’s pretty though. no need to hate on her just because we LOVE hyori and who doesn’t right? but if you’re going to debut as “sexy” ppl are going to compare you to the queen of sexy. the girl is cute though.
