Big Bang’s TOP and Taeyang sing for “Friend, Our Legend”
Now this is one music duo I can definitely get on board with. Big Bang’s TOP and Taeyang sing together for a track off the soundtrack for the drama “Friend, Our Legend.” The drama is a television remake of Jang Dong Gun’s popular film version, and the show stars Hyun Bin along with Kim Min Joon.
The song is alright, nothing special, but I have a feeling that for a drama like “Friend,” much more value should be placed in the meaning of the lyrics than in the catch and beat of the song. I don’t think TOP’s rapping perfectly compliments Taeyang’s singing, but I personally would love to hear more song collabs from the both of them. This makes me look forward to Taeyang’s next work so much more because this is the type of song perfect for his style, even if the song could be better. Check it out for yourself:

i just have to add one more comment…I wish you guys had an edit button…but the song is really amazing, I mean I’m a preschool korean learner but I feel like understand the whole lyrics. The movie FRIEND was an epic and wonderful film…and jang dong gun just looks sooo good in there….hehe

agree with greygoose.. not feeling the overload of technopop-iness lately.. the background music and beat is a little too loud and overpowering at times
and their voices dont completely complement each other but the overall feel of the song is good. reminds me of why i liked them in the first place, esp top’s singing

I was reading the comments as I was listening. SO i was waiting for TOP’s singing with baited breath. Waaaa he should sing so much more often. He is my love so I’m trying not to e biased, but I think he has potential as a producer, it would be nice to hear more of his stuff. GD is awesome, but he should share a little.

And thank heavens Tae-Yang(*swoon*) ditched that high squeaky voice he seemed to be doing for the last year or so. His voice is so much etter than that.
