Is that Engrish for Gotta Gotta Go?

Just kidding. The Big Bang boys were on the set of “Gara Gara Go” fooling around and having fun. It reminds me of most of their other Japanese music videos. Dancing in front of a light installation, the boys and T&A aka “The Video Honey”.

Word.

The behind the scenes:

  2. dilani says:

    woaw taeyang looks hot
cant wait for the mv to come out

  3. Minwooluver says:

At least it sounds a lot better than the crap that DBSK comes out with

  4. onelove says:

I also thought its ‘gotta gotta go’ since it will be their last song for their japanese activities this YEAR. after that they’ll head back to korea w/ their solo endeavors. GD first mini album on august, tae yang 2nd mini album or album on october then end of the year is Daesungs mini album (no trot), while TOP and seungri w/ 19. I hope they do a group album too. its gonna be an exciting year again. :D

  5. onelove says:

    @minwooluver

I actually thought that DBSKs japanese songs are better than their korean songs.

  6. onelove says:

btw why do they always feel the need of ’sexy girls’ on their video? :( *fan jealousy attack* …LOL

  7. maligurl says:

loving the video!! and that songs sounds realli good 2…they guys are looking smexy!

but damn! seung-ri voices sounds even more annoying with the auto-tone then without.

lol @ GD he stole CL hairstyle!^^

  8. Eunhae says:

Dang, loving the song already :]
But once again, NOT loving GD’s hair :/
Doesn’t his hair in this video look like CL’s hair from their fire music videos? haha

  9. Yun says:

I liked the punching bag motion YB did. I think he really got into his dance moves from what i saw in the clip which is good to see.

  10. Kpopper says:

    The full video is out:

^A youtube video has been posted.

  11. bluefire says:

    catchy song! nice…
    too much colors though. lol!
But I can barely pick out words, much less makes sense of what they’re saying in Japanese, just a few words. It’s awkward. And this comes from an avid JPOP listener, even before I came into contact with KPOP.
    Where’s the lyrics at?

    @Minwooluver
LOL. Apparently you don’t like JPOP that much, or you wouldn’t say that. DBSK has brought richness and more to JPOP. That’s a fact. The Japanese say so themselves, “Tohoshinki are Japan’s best artists.” I heard one man say. ^^

No matter, people’s tastes are different. Let’s leave it at that.

  12. DOICARE? says:

    i see fergie inspired headphones

  13. lalala says:

it’s nice to see BB dancing (it’s been awhile) as a whole, not just taeyang.

  14. mintt says:

@minwoolover, just because you don’t like their songs doesn’t mean it’s crap. some people prefer dbsk songs more, does that mean they’re tome deafs who listen to crap music. who made yourself superior than us all.

  15. mintt says:

    *tone

  16. @minwoolover says:

maybe you’re just not into their ballads, but that’s just difference in taste, doesnt mean that they ’suck’ cuz they get great reviews for their album in japan.

  17. Kpopper says:

Britney Spears is a top selling artist in America who sells and is popular, I guess that means that since Americans approve, she brings richness and more to American pop.

As does Soulja Boy, Hannah Montana, the Jonas Brothers and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Tohoshink sold out they’re sound to Jpop, of course the Japanese like them, because they stopped being Korean and they stopped being Dong Bang Shin Ki.

  18. annameg says:

    @minwoolover
dude… MAYBE you should look at just how much tohoshinki earned in japan for the first half of 2009.
seriously, that was a crap load of money for some “crappy” music.
maybe you’re korean.. or whatever. but japanese people like them. hell, even my grandmother loves them and she’s from saitama.

  19. boblicy says:

@kpopper: and how exactly did they stop being Dong Bang Shin Ki? I love both their Kpop and Jpop sound, the pop and the ballads. DBSK is yet to be a top selling artist, but they’re still recognized. Thus, your reasoning is FLAWED.

beyond the rant now, this is yet another techno song from a “hip-pop” group. they do have nice vocals, why must they hide it with this techno crap. the only voice worth complimenting was top’s, and he was rapping in english.

  20. boblicy says:

*DBSK is yet to be a top selling artist in japan, i meant. heh.

  21. maligurl says:

for a japanese song theres a helluv of a lot english!

no seriously TOP and GD who are the least fluent in japanese are basically just rapping in engrish with a few japanese words thrown in…it’s kinda disappointing, i mean wen are they gonna do an actual full japanese song?

whats the point in trying 2 break into japan wen every1 in the group can’t even speak the language fluently snd sound awkward. SMH

  22. Miss says:

I’m not crazy about the stuff they’ve been churning out for the japanese masses, but it’;; do for now (I guess their going after a different style…which has also been getting worse. well, atleast their clothes haha). I definately like the dancing though. I’m considering getting the CD.

  23. muriel says:

the song is good, but as some other people have mentioned it before… not enough japanese in there.

gd dragron amazes me to no end… but not always in a good way. lol. he has like five different hairstyles in here, and it seems he liked the hat he wore in the Lollipop song and took it, paint it black and wore it here. but at the end of the day, i’ll like gd cuz he’s just cool in my eyes lol.

i like the song… and it does sound like it says “gotta gotta go”

and i really like their shoes :]

and wth at the comments about DBSK… last time i checked this post was about Bing Bang and not them…

  24. Sarah says:

They can’t rap in Japanese so they decide to rap in English which is also a fail.
Oh GD and TOP get to studying. TOP might get a pass cuz he’s hot but GD……………………………………….

Seungri voice is effing annoying. But at least he’s working on his Japanese I’m give him that. It seems him, Tae and Dae are the only ones even trying to cater to a Japanese market.

    Taeyang and Daesung <3

  25. kresten says:

First of all, even if I’m a full-time VIP, I’m a semi-cassie too and THSK’s songs are not shit. They have really good songs in their j-pop effort. Both groups are good artists, just that at some points one is better than the other. However… THSK, and Big Bang at that, ain’t shit.

Cassiopeia’s VIP! ^_^ Proud to be a BBSK lover.

  26. Jeph Reodica says:

Great! I love the song and the video as well!

  27. asianromance says:

an addictive beat. but the song reminds me of uhm jung hwa’s DISCO and their voices sound so digitized. they might as well put a trainee in the recording booth and tweak his voice to sound like them. and their japanese sounds really korean to me. Big Bang can be REALLY good, but this time they’ve gone mediocre.

@kpopper- why would you say DBSK sold out to jpop? when they’re in japan, they sing more japanese style. When they came back to korea, they went back to korean style. In a way, they have dual identities instead of selling out to one. the only way jpop influenced dbsk is that jpop made them improve their voices. Their jpop focused more on ballads instead of dance/pop- so they managed to improve their vocals and their acapella. And then they came back to korea, better and more talented than ever!

  28. sunshine says:

    NOT ENOUGH TOP
    NEVER ENOUGH TOP
goddamn it I want top D:

  29. wow says:

    @ KPopper
you actually make a fool out of yourself when you’re comparing BRITNEY SPEARS and DBSK there LOL
ever heard of “market adjustments” ? i mean, based on your logic, BB’s selling out as well, then, coz they sound like korean lady gaga singing in japanese. and FYI i’m not that big of fan to these two groups (DBSK and BB) but i like both of them and since this is BB’s article, i’m anticipating GD’s album xD TY, not so much LMAO

  30. ChoiKm says:

OMG, I’m actually in love with this song…
And thier English is pretty good, i can undertsand what they r saying
Always thought this group sucks, but gotta give them chance this time..

But they should change their concept from hip hop to dance because this is sooo not hip hop.

  31. Alleykit says:

GD turned into a girl halfway through…lol

Nah, loving the song. Japanese is harder to rap in than Korean and English (in my opinion), so I can understand why they went that route.

    Daesung is HAWT in this vid. And Seungri’s voice annoyed the crap out of me x.x;

  32. xmizzzy says:

Okay, so the mv and song is a thumbs up. Im expecting this to do well in the charts. This post is about Big Bang so I dont know why people have to belittle other artists hard work to make Big Bang look better.

  33. emofanatic says:

    so freaking addicting!

  34. JC says:

why is gd sporting that AWFUL haircut again!?

  35. meagan says:

this is really good, and i am kind of back to being impressed with Big Bang again.
And G-D looks really hot…. as a girl.
And they are ALL looking mad sexy.
    Nice

  36. Dee says:

TOP’s expression at 2:10 is sorta hilarious.

  37. O_O says:

I hope, I really do hope that Big Bang succeeds in Japan. But I just detest the fact that their Japanese sounds like Korean, and that more than half their song is English. I’ve heard others say this and I agree too, it’s like a huge slap in the face for Japanese people. I mean really, would it kill them to learn the language a bit before recording songs? Taeyang did it; so can the rest of them. I can’t see them succeeding unless they learn the language and culture.

That being said, I like My Heaven and Gara Gara Go. Both songs are catchy. But G-Dragon is KILLING me with that hair. -__-
Must he always look so… queer?

And what the fuck is up with all this DBSK bashing? I personally like the fact that they went to Japan; it REALLY improved their vocals, especially Yunho. Besides, they adapted back to the Korean style during Mirotic.

  38. Yaleni says:

HAH! I thought it was gottagotta go too, but kept reminding myself they were saying garagara go. :P

  39. Stars* says:

YAY! so happy BIGBANG’s doing well in Japan.
Although, their music sounds strangely – KOREAN to me..
but whatever, the japanese like it. ^_^

SO MANY COLORS. i love this song, but my first reaction was “O.O! are these the same people who did ‘lies’ & ‘haru haru’!?” but, i’m going to let that go.. i just hope the original BIGBANG didn’t disappear completely. [:

Oh, & What does gara gara go mean? It’s weird, because the characters on google translate translate into ‘rattle’. lol, rattle go! ? i hope not.

DBSK/TVXQ : their music is good – but it reminds me too much of BIGBANG. as for moving to Japan & having ‘crappy music’ & blahblahblah, personally, i think the change was well needed & welcomed. their music had become subpar for a while – but alls well that ends well… or however that quote goes. [:
    *Byee! ^_^

  40. kathietee says:

the song is good, but the intro reminded me of 2pm, again&again
& seriouslyy.. are they copyinn fergie “hairPHONE” on the girls?
