And they are looking FIERCE. It’s been such a long time since I was this excited for a girl group. They have that certain Big Bang vibe to them, but they’re different. I don’t know how to explain, but they’re… kinda awesome?!?!?
Now, onto the members…
CL:
So far, CL seems the fiercest and most interesting of them all. I absolutely loved her part in “Lollipop” and after listening to Um Jung Hwa’s “DJ” which she was featured in, I think I really like her rapping style. She seems to have a complex with her eyes (yes, they do seem kinda small) but I think her eyes are part of her charm. And the girl can rock the shades really well.
Park Bom:
Park Bom. We’ve all heard about her here and there, and I know we are all glad that she finally gets to debut. Hopefully she gets along with the other girls in the group, because the age gap between them is huge. (Park Bom and Sandara Park were born in 1984 and Gong Minji was born in 1994. That’s 10 years.)
Sandara Park:
I’m still not sure on Sandara Park. She’s pretty (when she doesn’t have that coconut tree growing on her head) and she’s famous in Philippines and all, but can she sing? She might end up as YG’s version of Sohee. Let’s just hope that never happens…
Gong Minji:
Gong Minji is supposed to be 15 years old. I thought she looked really old for her age, but these pictures proved me wrong. In the photos where her face isn’t covered up with five layers of makeup, she does look like a 15 year old. Sort of.

Personally, I really like the concept of this group, despite all the “they’re just a female version of Big Bang blah blah blah” from people who don’t like Big Bang. Frankly speaking, I’m not a Big Bang fan either (although I do have my moments with TOP) but I’ve been waiting for a girl group like this for a long time – one that isn’t pushing for the cute innocent look AND has some real talent.
Fierce.
And I expect people to be hating on them because they’ll say things like “they look too much like Big Bang” blablablabla.
But they’re different from the other girl groups, and that’s all that matters. :P
Also, a little birdie told me heard some of their songs, and that birdie told me IT’S GOOD.
their music, i can tell, is going to be so refreshing. but plz if they don’t stop wearing this crap soon, i’m gonna have to rip my eyes out and just listen to them on mp3s.

I’m so excited for this group, I can’t even believe it. I’m not even into KPOP most of the time! Just DBSK and CSJH the grace. I really hope they don’t disappoint. Or at least if they can’t perform that great when live, they should make up for the catchy songs, like what JYP did to Wondergirls. Haha
Wow, hot! Now this is definitely a BIG step up from that rainbow explosion from Dr. Seuss land that was the Lollipop MV. All the girls look amazing. I really hope Sandara won’t be just deadweight. Just the thought of YG having a ‘Sohee’ is like blasphemy lol. The 10 year age gap is like @_@. Has there ever been a group in which such a wide age gap existed before? Anyway, these pics got me excited for their debut again. Whoo hoo~
hmmm..I feel a new vibe to these girls too, not totally new and unique but there’s something that’s very attractive. they look natural with it. nothing like those “oh-im-so-hot/cute-with-this-pose/angle-i-should-do-more” kinda thing. it’s kinda hard to explain really. very charming i guess. nothing faked and forced. even though there are still some [like minji's heavy make up with black leather cape?] outfits not to my liking, I like it overall. hm. they got me interested alright..and oh CL reminds me of Ellie here from seoulbeats. idk why?! :) ..now we just have to see what their music would sound like. im excited!

As far as I can tell, it’s not that CL has small eyes; but they seem to be a tiny bit crossed. It’s cute.

I am also worried about Sandara being another Sohee. Yikes. I’m afraid she might, because she’s not naturally gifted in singing and even if she trained so much, sometimes you realize some people just can’t sing. x_x

@mameshiba: I definitely agree. So far I’ve only seen talent from Park Bom and CL. So Minji can dance. This is primarily a music group, and I haven’t seen any amazing vocal abilities from her or Sandara. ):

I’ve always thought Park Bom was a good singer. But I just wish they would’ve come up with a better name, like “Bangsta” or something…I don’t know. The name just makes me think of going shopping.

Yay, someone not hating on these girls! I’m excited for their debut too – initially, it was because I’ve been waiting forever and a day for Park Bom to debut but after seeing the ‘Lollipop’ video, I’m thinking that CL’s definitely got a cool attitude and I don’t know why but MinJi’s growing on me. Jury’s still out on Sandara but anyway, I’m just waiting for their debut single. While I don’t think that their image is totally new and fresh, it seems like it will be different from what most (or all) of the other girl groups in Korea are doing right now and that, in itself, is a plus.

although some of the people bring up a comment on sandara.. sandara park is really nice and i think she can dance and sing.. she need to develop it more and more.. i know that a person who do so much stuffs can enhance it quickly as possible.. people of today are so judgemental.. i mean not all of you or anyone.. but some.. of it.. takes a Plus.!!!

well sandara is really good^^ im a filipino and ive been with her ever since she started and im gnna tell you she wasnt that good but i was surprised she have changed allot ever since she became a member of 2ne1 she can dance and sing live^^ yeah her voice is cute she is one of the prettiest in the bunch too ^^ i like minzy too she got this tomboy vibe to her and awesome dancer, well cl no question abt it the way she sings and dance you can tell that she is the leader even tho they didnt announce that she is the leader of the group. and park bom nice voice…..

Bom is my fave of them.. she’s like cute and has a very powerful voice….its like her voice is so unique that even if you hear it without looking you’ll know it’s her..luv it
