JYP Tour After Party @ Club Circle
To respect the wishes of the JYP Family staff, I did not take any pictures of the Wonder Girls, 2pm, JYP etc. at the after party, so there will be none here. For pictures of the concert however, check out Ningin’s coverage. This post concerns the more fun side of things. ^_~
Wonder Girls @ JYP Tour in LA
Last night, JYP, Wonder Girls and 2pm closed off their short US tour at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom. After their concert they headed to Circle nightclub for an after party. My posse and I went to the event to see how everything would go down and to give you some inside scoop.
First let’s talk about Circle. It’s a predominantly Asian, mostly Korean, crowd. In fact, I was one of 2 or 3 non-Asians in the entire club, (not counting the giant bouncers). In the crowd were the scantily clad overdressed girls and the sketchy ajussis, as well as the creepy well-dressed guys that literally drag girls to their tables for a drink. But most were just normal people, including some FOBs and SOBs (Still on the Boat), that wanted to have a bit of fun and maybe spot a Korean celeb.
We arrived at about 11:30 and the club was emptier than a mall the day after Christmas. NO ONE was dancing and the special guests, JYP, Wonder Girls and 2pm had not yet arrived. (On a side note: I’d have to credit myself with getting the dance floor started.) The music in the beginning was a good mix of American Top 40 hits, Korean hits and some techno, drinks were pretty well mixed and the ambience was okay. Starting at 12:30am JYP, Wonder Girls, 2pm and their staff filtered into the club going up to a higher level “VIP” area looking down on the dance floor. The first person I saw was Taecyeon. Then I spotted Jaebeom and I believe, Wooyoung, leaving the club almost as soon as they arrived. Ye Eun and Yoobin from the Wonder Girls and JYP were there, as well as, Chansung, Junsu, and Nick Khun from 2pm.

At around 2am or so all good music ceased to exist in that club. Only the crappiest house music known to man came blasting out of the speakers. It was horrid and the only good thing about the next 2 hours was that I got into a mini dance battle with Chansung, joined a Taecyeon conga line and met a JYP trainee that was rather mischevious but over all a good laugh.
Now for all the fans that are wondering, I’ll indulge in details. Taecyeon seemed to me the most outgoing one. He danced with some of the staff in the middle of the dance floor for most of his time at the club. Ye Eun and Yoobin are both really pretty, Yoobin isn’t chubby at all in person, I think she’s just a serious victim of the camera adding ten pounds. I have new respect for Ye Eun, she knows how to let loose and have a good time. Chansung was interesting, not just because of our little dance session but mostly because I caught him dancing with a girl that the trainee had pushed on him and he was literally grinding backwards, they were butt to butt and Chansung looked horribly confused. Nick Khun came down from the VIP area a little bit and he was pleasant enough. Junsu was down for a bit as well and he danced in the midst of the rest of their crew. I must say, and really, it is necessary that I say this, Junsu smelled really, really good. It was such a relief to pass by a man that didn’t smell like musky BO. Not to say that any of the other 2pm members smelled bad, Junsu just smelled great, like really good soap. JYP came down as well and danced a bit, drank a bit and the only thing I remember thinking when I saw him was, “He’s not that bad.”
Interestingly, the only ones of age and allowed to be in that club were Jaebeom (who left), JYP (who’s an ajussi), J. Lim (who I didn’t see) and Junsu (who smells like Zest, really clean). But hey, the perks of being famous, you get to break the law. Overall–minus the two horrid hours of what Circle calls “Asseteria” house–it was a nice after party.

OMG!!!..dude…me and my friends passed it cus we heard they were going to be there…but they said it was a private thing….and needed wrist bands..like w/e..lol..omg…ur soooo lucky…i saw them after the concert…but only briefly…i saw Taek and Jay and the others past pretty quickly..lol

I’d die to go to the after party with them! The dancing and stuff.. it sounds like a lot of fun.. well kinda. i was expecting jaebum to be on the dance floor or sumthing. but he left? why? and taecyeon sounds like a really nice down to earth kinda guy.. i would really wanna have a party with him. dance together.. and maybe a kiss? HAHA. Lol! taecyeon seems to grow on me nowadays. hmmm. i’d die to be in your place that night. damn your lucky!

Im happy to say I was the other 1 person who wasnt Asian at that party! The music was ok at the start but it sucked at the end. 2PM boys are soooo cute in person!

The dancing was great until it hit 2AM. LOL. We needed better music! I didn’t feel like dancing after the good music stopped.

loll funny you mentioned that junsu smelled good. i’m watching mbc idol show now and the members are saying that they don’t want to sleep with him because he’s smelly loll. and not the good smelly, bad smell. kekee. aw you’re so lucky you got to see the boys and jam with them.
