Fly to the Sky is back, ready to say goodbye
The R&B duo consisting of Brian (Seoulbeats’ first celebrity interviewee) and Hwanhee reiterated on Lee Hana’s Peppermint today that their 8th album,Decennium (released last month), will be their last as Fly to the Sky. The two explained that Brian will be pursuing his dreams as an actor while Hwanhee will be focusing on his solo singing career. Brian and Hwanhee reassured fans that while they will not be officially splitting as a duo, this 8th album will essentially be the last time they will be producing an album together as FTTS.
This is very bad news. Fly to the Sky was one of the few real talents in Kpop that we had left. Though who can blame them for leaving? The barrage of teeny bopping girl/boy bands has left no room/no money/no respect for actual quality music in Kpop. The two acknowledged that they feel that they are becoming too old to be in the “idol” music business. They recounted how all the different idol groups that they performed along side of when FTTS debuted 10 years ago (H.O.T., SES. Shakra, Sharp) have since long gone. The longevity of these two’s careers as FTTS is a testament to their pure talents, good music, and the fans that stood by them for the past decade.
At the sake of getting sappy and personal, “Missing you” for many years was the duet song for my childhood best friend and me and now she is all grown up and will be getting married later this year. No matter what these two guys decide to do in the future, their songs will never get old, never leave our memories.

FTTS = first time I heard Kpop
Same here. The first time I heard a Korean song (Forever) was by Fly To The Sky and I was on a designing website. The song was set as background and even though I tried to download it, there was no name. So I didn’t know who were the singers. After a few years, I was back into Fly To The Sky because I got hook with Gravity and then I learned that they are the singers of Forever. <3333
They will never be forgotten. ;___; They are now part with H.O.T, S.E.S, Fin.K.L, Shinhwa, G.O.D

From their first album to now 10 years later, its been a fun ride with amazing music, I will miss this duo greatly. FTTS,Shinhwa,HOT,SES, Boa,J, and Baby Vox were the first kpop artists I ever listened to way back in the day so its sad to see this duo go. Even though I will miss their music and their talent I wish them luck in their future endeavors.

Shinhwa didn’t break up like the other groups did, they are just halting on releasing music for the next 3 or so years since most of the members are fulfilling their military service.

They’re still my number one Korean group, so it would be really sad that they never sang together again.

Yeah there was some great music released during those years (late 90s-early 00’s) makes me sad to see what is considered “popular” in kpop these days. But as long as there are groups like Epik High, DBSK (vocally, I am personally not the biggest fan of some of the songs SM has them sing)Clazziquai, CSJH, and talented sololists I will think not all is lost. But even though both Wonder Girls, SNSD , and Kara have some very talented members (and some not so much) they have nothing on the old girl groups of the past. Plus cutesy/cheesy music is not my cup of tea.
times has changed, ppl now like crapp songs and groups. oh well. i could understand how ftts is feeling…

Hello, just wanted to point out that the MV you posted is not their official music video. It’s a fan video and they used a drama to remake it with the song. Hope I helped with that.

I’m sad too hearing these. But it’s a fact that we have to accept it. They will be back for sure as Fly to the sky. I felt like no doubt about it. For the time being, please support their individual project. They are one of the great singers in k-pop mainstream. However said the otherwise, they just don’t know about them more deeply. Once you know their song, you will be hooked…
