Kwon Sang Woo reveals disturbing truth
On yesterday’s airing of the variety show, “Golden Fishery”, Kwon Sang Woo explained the catalyst to his marriage.
“Getting Son Tae Young pregnant before marriage was my intention, she was kept in the dark all along. I’m the ‘mastermind’. There were rumours claiming that I was forced to marry her because she was pregnant. This is definitely not the truth. In fact, it was my wish to marry her that I intentionally made her pregnant.”
What? Huh? Come again? What ever happened to getting down on one knee and proposing? Since when is impregnating a woman the way you go about making sure she stays with you for the rest of your life? I sincerely hope that he was joking, but even if he was joking, it’s not remotely funny. In fact, it’s extremely disturbing. Kwon Sang Woo was never high in my book but he has certainly plummeted to the bottom of my “Respectable Actors” list. In fact, he’s on another one now, it’s my “Freaking Nutjobs” list. Kwon also talked about how sad he was that people were criticizing his marriage. Well, I didn’t care that you were married but now I’m a bit put off by the act that you intended to impregnate her so that you could then marry her. Not only is it nuts, it makes absolutely no sense.

That is very disturbing. I’ve never been a fan of him, especially not after hearing about his lack of devotion (not sure that’s the word I want to use) to an acting role. Like, wasn’t he in contention for this role in movie? But, the character is supposed to suffer from a debilitating disease and that meant that KSW had to lose his muscles or whatever? And he refused and dropped out? Pfft. He’s hardly an actor devoted to his craft.

UMM.. Kwon Sang Woo? Have you forgotten who you are? Have you forgotten who she is? You’re an A-list actor and she uses guys as a ladder to fame, of course she would’ve married you. With that said, since both parties were willing I think this is a *smidge* romantic.

I think his response is just to take the load off Son Tae Young because of the backlash that might occur if they only got married bc of the baby, because that means they had premarital sex and that’s still kinda a no-no in Korea. (And you KNOW the girl is gonna get the brunt of the criticism.)

byul1232, even if he said it with a lot of love, that was still a very messed up thing to do. It was a selfish act and yeah it takes 2 to tango, but she probably didn’t want to get pregnant at the time. Pregnancy is not a joke, a woman needs to be prepared for it emotionally, mentally and what he did was definitely wrong no matter how you look at it. If it was an accident, that’s understandable but for him to do it on purpose?

Oh yeah he definitely said that to get the heat off of Son Tae Young. Netizens are absurd but of all the things to say in defense of your marriage? I really don’t think anyone is livid about the premarital sex, Jang Hyuk had a wedding after a baby and no one batted an eyelash (maybe because his wife wasn’t in the limelight).

I think he didn’t mean it to be interpreted that way..Maybe he just wanted to stress how much he loves his wife..I’m not his fan but I think he was just misinterpreted, or he just didn’t said it in the “more acceptable” way but for what its worth, I think what he was trying to impart is that he wasn’t forced to marry her, that it was him who really wanted the marriage from the start..perhaps there are still alot of people questioning his sudden marriage..dunno.
omg i watched this episode too and the way he said that was beyond creepy…maybe the words came out wrong, and if it did, he should think twice before talking (considering he’s known for saying things without thinking). the strange part is, he didn’t say this once. he repeated it several times throughout the show! that screams CRAZY! according to my book.

All I can say is … I hate his HAIR!!!
Whatever his meaning is, his words come across as disappointing, especially since the characters he portrays in his dramas are so idealistic with love.
He should choose his words more carefully, or just say NO COMMENT, THAT IT’S OUR PRIVATE LIFE.
That said, it’s unfair to subject them to too much scrutiny. Let us appreciate the job they do as actors and actresses, and give them space in their private life.
What you did is wrong in the eyes of God and Man but KSW, you are still one of my best actors.
