DBSK set to appear on “Music Station”
Dong Bang Shin Ki is set to appear on the Japanese show “Music Station” on March 6 to perform their latest track “Survivor.” Normally, a Shin Ki appearance on a show isn’t very news-worthy, but because there have been issues raised in the past as to whether or not the group has been “banned” from the popular music program, this appearance is a big step up. The show is known to feature artists who have Oricon chart hits, but even after more than enough #1 weekly positions, this is the first time Dong Bang Shin Ki will perform their own music. They’ve appeared once before, but it was for a collaboration track with Koda Kumi that they participated in.
Also set to appear on that episode of Music Station is fellow label-mate BoA, and for Jpop lovers, Arashi, ROCK’A'TRENCH, GLAY, along with many others.

I personally think Music Station is boring as hell but at least DBSK finally got invited. I don’t know what the big deal is, though, Music Japan loves them so it’s not like they need Music Station.
JESS, I agree with you. But, Music Japan does definitely add exposure, seeing as they’re the most watched program and they’ve got a coveted primetime spot. I also think that MS just exists to be an ego-stroker for JE, but hey, all publicity is good publicity! :D
This will be nice to compare the scale of their stage with JE. JE in Music Station is just ridiculous. They have all their trainee jumping up and down as a background dancer and with so many stage prop.
About the song, I like Survivor. It’s so japanese. The dance, as bad as it is, it’s already considered to be good by japan. I remember hating the choreo for Summer Dream, Sky, and Beautiful You but they’re doing great when performing it live. The energy that they brought in their performance cover the dance step..
JE is smart to not let KATTUN go against them in MS this time. It will be butchering time for KATTUN. Arashi is safer because their bigger and can hold their note quite nice. This will be great to see Sho and Yoochun at the same screen together

they were never banned in the first place i think, they just werent popular enough, even with the number one spot, their sales were mediocre but they gained more popularity with their recent single bolero. music station is live from start to finish, thats why its so popular, the sets are changed at an unbelievable pace and heck it doesnt exist just for JE. Almost all the major artists in japan have appeared on it, including foreign ones like fergie, kanye west etc

DBSK not being invited to MS had nothing to do with their sales. Artists who were less popular and sold less albums were invited to MS. DBSK was #1 on both oricon AND Music Station charts (which ranks in terms of sales and exposure I think?) and yet artists who were like 8th on the charts were invited. There was something fishy when DBSK was not invited even though they had like 5/6 consecutive #1’s.
@JESS: MS does get better viewership than Music Japan, but it’s ratings have been dropping lately unfortunately :/ Even Heyx3 and Utaban is getting higher ratings.

the best music show in Japan, for me, is Music Fair. Music Station is really quite boring but it does have a reputation. and for my boys appearing there for the 2nd time – but not cause they’re in collaboration with another artist – is a good step up in their career.

Yeah, I agree…it will be interesting to see an Arashi and TVXQ performance. LOL. I wonder how they’ll greet each other or something on stage as well as backstage. There has never been public Tohoshinki-JE group interaction before. Interesting. Though of course performance-wise it’s already been decided. The song is too easy for them already. And good for JE for not having KAT-TUN there. After their attitudes after the Last Angel performance 2 years ago they kinda went down on my list and they’re never easy on the ears in live performances anyway. I’m glad BoA will be there too. I suppose MS is desperate to raise their ratings seeing that the other stations’ ratings go up every time THSK is on. I guess not only Cassiopeia is powerful. BigEast is too. Can’t wait to watch this
I really don’t like the song. No matter how much I listen to it. I know they can do better than that, but I guess this is a try at attracting more Japanese people. The song’s very J-Pop, I can even imagine some other group singing it. Unlike Bolero or Mirotic — they have a very DBSK feel.
I do hope they do better with the live. Surprise us, please. I won’t know what I’d do if I’d see that large hip thrust they do live on stage. Although sometimes that would be good, but at this circumstance…it’s not.
